The Naval Construction Battalion Center is participating in a Navy-wide exercise called Solid Curtain Citadel Shield 2018. It actually began Jan 29th, and will continue through Friday (Feb 9th) on Naval installations across the country. Because of that, at some point today, NCBC will by notified by the Regional Command to raise their level of security measures. When that happens; The Pass Road and Broad Avenue gates will close. The only acce3ss to the base will be through the 28th Street Gate. That may affect traffic on 28th Street and potentially Canal Road.
